How far along? 37 weeks- Yay for being full term!
Total weight gain: 35 I think is where I am at, I stopped asking. Maternity clothes? all my bottoms are maternity, I tried wearing all my normal tops.. the problem with that is that they aren't long enough and now I am way to close to the finish line to buy some.. SIGH.
Stretch marks: Yah and as time goes on I get more and my belly is shiny from how stretched it is!
Sleep: Well good when I'm not contracting for hours at a time.. more on that later
Best moment this week: I would have to say false labor even though it brought a lot of frustration and disappointment... we're almost there.
Miss Anything? i miss a lot of things... currently I just miss not feeling like this
Movement: Yes, she gets the hiccups often too. I want to remember that!
Food cravings: Hmm.. I go through phases.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: 5 CM dilated... 60% effaced... false labor... more later.
Belly Button in or out? IN!
Happy or Moody most of the time: I think its half and half, irritated is a good word to describe me.
Looking forward to: Meeting this baby
False Labor:
So Wednesday throughout my work day I felt "weird," my body was REALLY achy and my back was cramping really bad. I had a feeling something was about to happen. I left work a little early because I felt that uncomfortable. So around 10-11 pm. I started having some painful contractions, more than your regular Braxton Hicks... Around midnight I started to time them, they were about 15 minutes apart. So we tried to get some sleep around 2:30 a.m. I woke up to use the restroom and couldn't go back to sleep from the contractions they were getting strong and more intense as the time went on as well. By this point they were a little more than 5 minutes apart. So I woke up the husbe and my mom, took a nice warm shower and headed to L&D, at this point they were about 4-5 minutes apart lasting 90 seconds on average. As soon as we got there they check me, I was 5 CM dilated, so right away they say they are keeping me give me a room and it's go time. They get me all hooked up to an IV, Penicillin (Group B strep) and we wait. I have decided to try and do this naturally with no medicine so I was able to move around and walk around with my IV. They did tell me that she was still really high and my cervix was thick but that the contractions should help with that. Except they didn't. And I never made a change. My contractions stopped about 5 hours later and the Dr. decided she does not want to force miss Diva out if she is not ready and I would be able to go home. So home we went. I won't deny that I was very sad and felt that I had done something wrong. I know she is not ready and I want her to be ready but why would she do that? Eek. Well it took me a day or two to get over it. I had a follow up with my Dr. on Friday she couldn't believe that they sent me home and she couldn't believe this baby is playing games. I was still at a 5 when I saw the Dr. After 3-4 days of recover... boy does labor take it out of you and I didn't have a baby yet! My whole body was sore and I was so tired. But I didn't have any contractions anymore...until Monday night. They started really irregular and around 3:30 am and kept on, so we went in again just to make sure but I knew they wouldn't keep me, they weren't getting stronger just staying the same. Sure enough, still a 5, about 80% and she is still REALLY high up. Seriously, I'm not even sure how they check me she is so high... So It's been a long day and a good reason for this really late post, but here is to 14 more days until my due date!
