Our First Sono... The Beginning of it all really

Warning... the begininning is long and may be boring but if you want to keep reading, you have bene warned!

(Baby G at 7 weeks)

In reality this is our second sono, our first sono was around 5 weeks. So lets rewind to December - hmmm mid December. I graduated with my Bachelors in August and walked in December, started my Masters in October.. life is normal. My hunnie and I have been together for about six and a half years at this point... High school Sweethearts... many breakups in between but have grown out of all that foolishness. Starting a family was definatly not on my mind. Christmas came and my Bf's brother made lots of jokes as to how my gift to him was going to be a positive pregnancy test... (it wasn't) I got him an Iphone... less expensive huh? But the next day I woke up and had a weird sense of urgency to buy a test, so I did, spent a whole dollar on one, took it home, took the test... came out negative right away- Walked away feeling a little relieved. Then I came back to the restroom realizing that I didn't throw it out and LO and BEHOLD a positive sign! At this moment i panicked a little... went back to the store, bought 2 more test...spend way more than a dollar and took one again... Positive. So I cried a little, the thought of being pregnant/starting a family at this point in my life had not crossed my mind.
I went to lunch with my BF that day... called into work, I had woken up really sick with allergies or something (really it was a mental health day all the way along with allergies.) So I thought I would be funny and wrap up one of thos bad boys (the test) and give it as a LATE christmas gift... Caught him a bit off guard but from the moment he saw it was Positive he was so excited. So there started our Journey...the next day I went to the Dr. for my allergies and confirmed that I was pregnant... So now to tell our families...

My dad had been working out of town and was supposed to be out for a few more weeks but somehow came back that weekend, so we sat them down, talked to them and there was a lot of different emotions going on... Growing up in a very Christian home, us not being married.. not living together.. wasn't the ideal situation to our parents.. But they have responded well and I am very thankful for how helpful they have been! His parents took it the same way, again raised in a Catholic home they expect a different situation. But anywho that has gone.

About a week after we found out I had some pregnancy issues that scared us so we went in to the ER and had a sono, we didn't get any pictures and in reality there was just a sack there but everything was good.

Since I kept having these issues I had to go in and see a Dr. earlier than expected and had a sono at 7 weeks were we got to see our little baby and get a picture! We even got to see the heart fluttering on the screen... PRICELESS!!

At this point we decided to tell family and friends and made it public.

I'll have to continue in a few days- Enjoy!

Love

All new!

So here it is end of May and less than 4 months to meet baby Jazlyn. I hope to keep up with this blog to follow my pregnancy, or what is left and to follow Jazlyn's milestones. I'm a full time working soon to be new mom and have a crafty bone in me. I can't wait until my princess gets here and all the adventures she brings... the good, the bad, the smelly, the cute and the ugly!
