Tutu cute!

As I mentioned in my intro, I have a creative bone in me. I like making bows, tutu''s, dresses, whatever I can get my hands on. Usually for a baby shower with a baby girl on the way I try to make something like that. So I figured I would share this Tutu I made for a friend of ours having a baby girl! I can give a brief tutorial nothing extravagant.

I use ribbon for the waist when it comes to a newborn, its adjustable so that way if you have a smaller baby you can tie it tighter or vice versa, for toddlers that I can actually measure I use elastic.

Newborn: 15-16 Inches with about 8-9 inches on each side so you have enough ribbon to make a bow with the loose ends.

As far as the length I go with about 5-6 inches long, so I cut 10-11 inch long tulle stands since they go folded.

Not very good pictures of the process this was my tulle already cut, I used Hot Pink and Silver and I plan to make a matching bow.

I cut about 40 pink tulle stands and about 14-16 silver ones

In the process.. I went 5 Pink to every 2 Silver, the silver stands out more so I didn't use as much.
I tie the tulle in a knot and that works out fine, it's about preference.
I tie my ribbon around an Oats cannister to make the tieing process faster and easier.

The finished product, you can barely see the bow but I would also heat seal the ribbon at the edges. I had to do a little trimming on the Pink because the silver was shorter... I get impatient when I'm cutting.

The bow I will make will have Silver and White ribbon and a Hot Pink Button!

Easy gift for a little Princess on her way!

Baby G will defiantly be sporting many tutu's made by mama... I just love them!

29 Weeks!

So 29 weeks isn't too bad, except the fact that I have a severe case of Heartburn. The Dr. had told me a few things I could do and take, hopefully with better eating habits it will only be that ONE incident!
Hunnie and I have been playing with baby G by talking to her at night and flashing our phone's light on her... she kicks it, its hilarious!!
I can't wait to meet her!
I love that maternity shirt! First one I purchased and its the first time I wear it!

How far along? 29 weeks!
Total weight gain: 13 pounds so far
Maternity clothes?  Yes, and it is getting harder to dress for the summer without going out and buying more shorts/clothes because i wont b wearing them long
Stretch marks?            Yes :/
Sleep:   I sleep alot... lots of restroom interuptions but I try to sleep alot.
Best moment this week:       My hunnie was playing with baby G by placing a flashlight on my belly and she would kick it! I love seeing him interact with my belly and talking to her.
Miss Anything?              Variety of my clothes, being able to get up out of my bed without having to be helped, less restroom breaks, a nice drink now and then...
Movement:             Oh yes its fun to see my belly move wit her too!
Food cravings:   California style burrito- beans/rice/fajita/homeade flour toritilla
Symptoms:        OH man the heartburn!! Acid reflux is HORRIBLE, I am at fault, I ate ALOT of spicy in one day, I was foolish to think it wouldn't affect me but man o man it was horrible.
Anything making you queasy or sick:     Just heartburn...
Labor Signs:    Braxton Hicks contractions
Happy or Moody most of the time:   More Happy than moody! Although during that heartburn session I'm sure anyone that was near me would have disagreed.
Looking forward to:   Our 3D/4D sono, I really hope we get some great pictures! Also our maternity pictures are coming soon!!

Father's Day!

Sunday was Father's day, our family didn't do much  because my dad was not feeling to well
but we did cook out. I bought him a pair of pants and got him a card, he loved it. For my hunnie I wasn't sure what to do, we didn't do anything for me on Mother's day because I felt weird celebrating and my baby isn't here with us yet. So I did something creative and made him a Daddy To Be Survival kit. I used all his favorite candies/snacks and other little things I knew he would like.

So the breakdown

Snickers: to remind you its ok to laugh
Cry babies: in case one crying baby is not enough
Hot Fries: for those late night snacks (Also his favorite chips)
Hugs/Kisses: To remind you that mommy and baby girl need lots of hugs and kisses
Kit Kat: When you need a break
Mounds: For the Mounds of help you will be
Tootsie Rolls: So that you can Roll with the punches
Lifesavers: Because you are a lifesaver and without you I couldn't do this
Popcorn: For those nights when we need a movie night
Mountain Dew: For that extra boost in the morning after a long night of staying away with a newborn (He doesn't drink coffee)
Tissues: To wipe away the tears... yours, hers and mine
Eraser: To remind you that every new parent makes mistakes
Masks: In case the smell gets too bad (he's horrible with strong smells)
Wet Wipes: For those on the go messes
and a card from baby G!

He loved it all and was eager to eat all the candy! He has a sweet tooth but I'm glad he loved it.

Second Trimester 17-24 weeks

Ok another catch up update...

Weeks 17-24 were pretty awesome. I was able to feel baby G at around 18 weeks and she's been a fish ever since!

Week 17: Daddy reads or talks to her every night and this is when her hearing started to develop, one of my favorite moments is seeing him read to my belly...

Week 18: I was starting to get a baby bump here

19 weeks: mango baby

Week 20: Half way there!

Week 20 Sono: Baby G was not cooperating... we were there for about an hour and she would barely move and turned her back on us, so we didn't get to confirm she was actually a she. But I knew she still was, she was acting like a pure DIVA! We got rescheduled to go back two weeks later since they weren't able to get most of the needed photos.

But here she is!

Week 21: Daddy feeling baby kick was priceles!! His face lite up, I wish I would've recorded it.

Week 22: This was my birthday! Fun day indeed!
And my baby was weighing a whole pound!

Week 22: Follow up sono... Baby G was not shy in hiding she was definatly a girl!

Week 23: Feeling pretty still

Week 24: This is the week where I start feeling the weight I have gained... but still feeling great!

This period of weeks my mom, dad and my brother were able to feel the baby move/kick! Everyone was so excited!

Second Trimester 13-16 Weeks!

13-16 weeks was fun! Mostly nothing big going on... really you can't feel the baby so unless your having all the pregnancy symptoms you forget your pregnant. I was still feeling good, some back aches and such but no big stuff.

So here are my weekly update pictures I decided to do via Chalkboard! I got this idea from pinterest.. there was different things I saw regarding this so I just give credit to Pinterest! I alternate the info, some weeks I do a fruit to compare size, some days I update with what the baby is doing or so on. I love doing these. I feel like I may remember my pregnancy days after the baby gets here by looking at these pictures. Also, it's very fun to see how much I grow!

Beginning of 3rd Trimester
Baby Guajardo (Also known as Baby G for the reminder of the pregnancy)

14 Weeks: Size of a Lemon

15 Weeks: Size of an Orange
16 Weeks: Baby's Heartrate was 145!

More about week 16:

So we went in for our normal check up and when the Dr. tried to listen to the heartbeat we heard nothing... Sigh. I was so scared so after a few minutes the Dr. decided to do a sono! And yay we heard the hearbeat!! 145 strong beats! I was so excited... then she told us she could see the Gender! What a great day after all, so we got to find out the gender....

We found out Monday March 18th and my mom's birthday was Wednesday March 20th... So we decided to give her a gift that day that would tell her what the gender was! It was a little hard not to tell them right away but this is their first grandbaby! So I wanted to make it really special. My BF just called his mom and sister and let them know (this makes grandbaby #7 for them).

So I made this and wrapped it up... yup a GIRL!!! My mom swore it was a boy but both her and my dad wanted a girl so bad... and my BF's family really wanted boy because they have 5 girls and 1 boy!

I took a video of my mom opening the gift... and she even said she had a feeling she knew we were going to tell her on her birthday (mothers intuition maybe?)But the video was priceless!

We decided to tell our friends and family through a picture that we sent out via text/Facebook/Instagram/Twitter

My hunnie looks so happy... he was hoping for a boy to break the curse of the girls as the call it as his house but he got over it really quick... he even picked a name right away!!

He is adorable!

First Trimster... Continued

So after that long story we had monthly appointments and everything was fine. No morning sickness, no crazy tired pregnant person.. etc. etc. Honestly, I would forget I was pregnant half the time! I probably should've written more down but really there was many mixed emotions, I was mostly scared but happy as well. I'm very, very grateful that I had a fairly easy first trimester after all those issues!

12 Weeks Mostly fat.. some baby!
